Description

I did this in Paper by FiftyThree. Took me a long time to figure out how to use it and I don't think it has layers. But I did enjoy making it, sometimes it was rough but it was fun. First painting on an ipad with my new stylus. I thought the stylus didn't work but it turned out the stylus needed a battery. I do not read instruction enough.

Hello! ado-mi here from ProjectComment ! :)

Alright so like I really like the texture of this piece, I actually thought it was traditional at first with digital coloring! The theme is very cute and I am quite fond of it because winter aesthetic <3 but of course going to the critique now. As said before, the colors and the theme are very nice, it gives this dreamy natural feel, from the night sky colours in her hair to the barren trees at the bottom which kind of portrays a scene. Now of course since it's your first time making this (?) there are really some things you did really well despite that fact and others that could be improved on. Okay so first, maybe you could try practicing pen pressure! The thickness of lines really make a difference to whether or not your drawing will pop out! I can see that you're not really confident with your lines as they're kinda sketchy but that's okay! Practice makes perfect. Now as for the colors, I do love the night colours and the varying shades of brown in the trees but I don't think there is enough color filled out. What I mean is, I think it would look nicer if you made the night colours fill out the entire bottom part, sprouting out from her hair so it actually looks like a night in the forest at the bottom. For the stars, if would be nice if they shined a bit but I'm not sure if the program you have has that option thought maybe drawing actually star shapes would make it look cute! Oh another point for the trees. So they don't blend with the sky, you could outline it in white. It's snowing anyway so it shouldn't pop out too much!

I really did love this piece and I wish you the best!
